Online Instructor Course

This flexible online course is designed to give you everything you need to confidently introduce tracking to your clients.

Work through a combination of theory and practical videos in your own time, with ongoing support as you progress.

Assessment Process

To ensure you feel confident and ready to teach Bronze level tracking, you will complete a practical and theory-based assessment.

You will be asked to:

Submit videos of you teaching three different exercises

Work with three different dogs

This can be in a group class setting or through three individual 1:1 sessions

Demonstrate clear instruction, understanding, and handling of both dog and handler

You will also complete a series of multiple choice questions to support your theoretical understanding.

This process is designed to support your learning and help you feel fully prepared to deliver Bronze level tracking with confidence.

Who This Course Is For

We’re looking for trainers who are:

Force-free and reward-based in their approach

Passionate about improving dogs’ lives through enrichment

Already experienced in dog training and handling

You don’t need formal qualifications—but you do need a solid understanding of dog behaviour, training principles, and how to work with both dogs and their owners.

Becoming a UK Sniffer Dogs Instructor

To make things simple, everything is set up for you at the point of booking.

When you enrol, you will:

Agree to our Instructor Terms & Conditions

Select either your Licence (£10/month) or Membership (£20/month)

Your chosen option will then automatically begin once you have successfully passed your course, so there’s nothing further you need to remember or set up.

Licence or Membership – What You Need to Teach

To teach UK Sniffer Dogs content, all instructors must hold either a Licence or Membership:

The Licence allows you to teach our courses, use our branding, and be listed on our Instructor Directory

The Membership includes your licence, along with additional support, resources, and business tools

You only need one or the other—membership includes the licence.
